September 11 Statement
In the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, the Central Queens Greens issued a statement expressing deep sorrow for the victims and their families. We called for a measured, just response that would address the root causes of violence while upholding civil liberties and human rights. We emphasized the importance of international cooperation and diplomacy over unilateral military action, and stood in solidarity with all New Yorkers affected by the attacks.
About the Greens
The Green Party is a grassroots political movement that puts people and planet before corporate profits. We believe in participatory democracy, where citizens have a direct say in the decisions that affect their lives. The Greens are organized at the local, state, and national levels, working to build political power from the ground up.
In Queens, the Greens have been active in campaigns for environmental justice, affordable housing, improved public transportation, and government accountability. We welcome all residents who share our commitment to a better, more just Queens.
